Does anyone have a favorite scripting language that they prefer to use over all others?  PHP seems to be a pretty dominant scripting language these days, but I know a few that would say to hell with PHP and that they prefer PERL.  Personally, I prefer PHP.  And of course many languages can do some things better than others, but I'm just asking this question for general purpose scripting.  Nothing in particular.

Whatcha think?

Not sure why, but here lately I've totally gotten into BBCode.  Its quick and easy to use, and the game I play uses it, so I'm learning only a very little of it.

I don't think I would call BBCode a scripting language as much as something that forums and stuff use?

I use php

Well, I mainly make my websites using XHTML and CSS.  Every now and then I will throw some JavaScript or PHP into it - depending on what the overall site requirements are.  I don't really have a favorite.

Well Front end development would definitely be XHTML/CSS/JavaScript, backend would of course be PHP.

It depends on the kind of website you are making.
Nothing is bad. even some sites looks good with simple html scripts.
